First Post for Albuquerque Phillips Family

Hello everone and welcome to our Blog! Now that we are living in New Mexico and far from most ofthe family we thought we better create our own Blog so family could keep up with our goings on. We have lived here in Albuquerque, New Mexico(Sahara Desert) since April '07. We left our home and my job in Redding,Ca in search of a better life here in the land of enchantment. So far everthing has gone according to plan and my new job as a granite countertop installer and cabinet refacing istallation manager has been a great career change. I finally have a job that I feel will benefit my future and has given me new goals that I am really excited about. With the move and career change Leigh is still able to stay home with the kids which we feel is very important. Yesterday Leigh made an exciting discovery, finding out that an old friend from Redding lives only five miles from us. Leigh's friend also has three kids ages 10,8, and 6 years old, so this was also a lucky discovery for Paris and Colton as well. We already hosted a slumber party and the kids really had a great time. Leigh's parents Pat and Ed and her Grandmother live up the street from us ten houses. Paris has lots of friends, is doing great in school and started playing the Clarinet this year in Band. Colton also has many friends and is the top student in his math class. Colton has a new acoustic guitar and started taking lessons once a week through an after school program. Both Colton and Paris also have Scouts once a week(cubscouts and girl scouts). We missed getting them into sports this year due to the timing of the move. We'll make sure they play a team sport in the spring. Finally we a have Naomi. She can be the cutest little thing nad a huge handfull all at once. She is doing great, healthy, smart and funny as she should be. Well, that's all for now. I hope Leigh and I will faithfully update this Blog like we are planning to. We love you all and miss you dearly.
